I designed and built a commerce website for a Utah-based startup that sells white-label skincare & health supplement products.

A local Utah startup contacted me to build their e-commerce website. They sell an opportunity to quickly start your own skincare and health supplement product line. The products they sell are left blank, and customers are able to add their own branding. I needed to come up with a way to feature their product well, while still making it clear it would come without any branding included.
The owners gave me a few samples of their products so I could get an idea of what they were selling. I found some images of the products online, but decided shoot my own product photos to get a higher quality end result. With a simple light box setup I was able to get some nicely lit photos of the blank products.
In photoshop, I separated the products from their backgrounds and inserted them in a more generic background. They purposefully look a bit unrealistic, to help customers understand that this example was not the actual final product, since it still would need their custom label.
I used an organic shape generating tool to create a example brand that could be consistent, yet abstract to emphasize the fact that it was merely an example. Each product was assigned a distinct shape and color, so they all follow the same theme while still being interesting.
Since the business is all about the products and the sales opportunity behind them, I designed and built a homepage that features the products. Starting off with some nice imagery of the products, the page concludes with a complete list of all available products.
I designed a product page template and built a full feature page for each of the 18 products available at launch. I then wrote copy for each product and added the related imagery. I also designed a page to explain the opportunity and a contact form for customers to reach out with questions and orders.
