ACCURATE INVENTORY, RIGHT NOW
Vending machine companies have many machines to restock and not a lot of time to do it. We needed a feature to allow them to update inventory quickly while at the machine, instead of waiting until the end of the day when they were back at their office.

MULTIPLE SOLUTIONS
TO ONE PROBLEM
I designed several different versions of an interface that vending employees could use to quickly update inventory. I took my top 4 designs and reviewed them with some vending employees to get their feedback. The simplest design for them to understand was the design shown below on the right. It had large numbers and a simple interface; perfect for when you're in a hurry.
STYLEGUIDE
A DESIGN LANGUAGE
Because I was designing this feature as part of an already existing app, I took an inventory of the styles already being used across the app, so that I could make my design consistent with the rest of the application.
USER FLOW
QUICK AND SIMPLE
The final design incorporated a several screens to help workers find the products quickly and efficiently update inventory levels. We implemented the final design into the app and we've received great feedback from customers using it regularly.
